Puppies adopted from Lisa's ShihTzu & Friends/Southern Imperial Shihtzu are in good health and free from communicable diseases,as far as it appears to the eye,at the time of sale.Buyer has 3 days to have puppy vet checked at the vet of their choice.If puppy is adopted over the weekend ,your 3 days will start on Monday or if puppy is adopted on a Holiday your 3 days will begin the following business day.If buyer does not have puppy vet checked within 3 days after purchase, it WILL void this contract and the puppy will be adopted AS IS with no guarantee!I will not be responsible for any vet visits after puppy has transferred from my care to new owner. Puppy Vaccination & Dewormings are to be kept on schedule.Failure to vaccinate and deworm on schedule will void this contract! Deposits and payments are NON REFUNDABLE.The only exception is a deposit that has been placed on a puppy that passes while in my care.You then will have the option of a refund on the deposit or rolling the deposit on to another available puppy.No other exceptions will be accepted so please be committed before placing a deposit.No Cash Refunds what-so-ever!

Your puppy will be covered by a 1 year guarantee on Heart,Liver,Kidneys and 6 months on Hydrocephelus.If puppy is diagnosed with a life threatening disorder, impairing the puppy of having a normal life and is linked directly to my breeding program,you will be reimbursed with another puppy of YOUR CHOICE upon availability! All documentation must be returned to me including registration papers,necropsy report ,fecal and vaccination records,with all test results on how the vet arrived with this diagnosis ,to receive a replacement puppy.
Please do not socialize your puppy until it has ALL vaccinations.Socializing your puppy before he/she has All vaccinations will void this contract.!!I guarantee my puppies to be Parvo free for 14 days , after puppy leaves my home ,Puppy must not have socialization outside the home for 14 days from the date puppy is picked up (this means no puppy classes,parks, grooming,and even outside in your own yard.)Your puppy is paper trained and I recommend you continue this for the next 14 days.. Parvo is a deadly disease and nothing to play with.There is now a different strand of Parvo that can actually kill your puppy within 48 hours of contact.
When cleaning puppy area,make sure floors are completely dry of any disinfectant or cleaning solutions.A puppy can easily lick the wet floor or lick his paws causing the puppy to become extremely sick and possibly die.Also make sure puppy area is safe from foreign objects that could be harmful if digested. .A puppy will chew on just about anything so you have to be careful what is placed in puppies play area.I strongly suggest puppy safe toys.No removable eyes, inside sqeekers or bells.It is your duty as a new pet owner to keep in mind the safety of your new family member.I will not be held liable for irresponsibility.
Open fontanels(soft spots on the head) are not covered by this contract.If you have adopted a puppy and it has a open fontanel ,I will make sure you are aware of the soft spot and precautions need to be taken by you and your family to protect the babies head until soft spot has closed.
Ear Mites,Coccidia,Worms and Umbilical Hernias are common in puppies and are not LIFE THREATNING ,if treated.These items are Not covered in this contract.If puppy has a inguinal hernia ,I will make you aware of this matter and offer a reduction in price to compensate for the surgical repair.
IF adopting a puppy with full Akc ,I Do Not guarantee breeding or showing success.Puppy will be newspaper trained.Its up to you to reinforce the training at your home.If for any reason your puppy passes within the 1 year guarantee ,you MUST have a necropsy report to determine cause of death to receive a replacement puppy.If my vet and your vet is in agreement with cause of death, a replacement will be provided upon availability.If your puppy becomes sick you are to notify me immediately,Not a week later.Vet care and All prescribed treatments must be followed to validate this contract at buyers expense.I do not guarantee the adult weight or adult color of your puppy.I base adult weights on past litters, parents,great and grand parents weights and use my best judgement.Shihtzu are double coated so I give you my Best educated guess in adult coat color.I will not reverse limited Akc to Full Akc.If you are wanting breeding and showing rights,this will need to be discussed BEFORE the puppy is adopted.
Hypoglycemia is prevented with nutrical,kayro syrup and a proper diet several times a day.Hypoglycemia is NOT covered in my contract.
